This policy explains what personal data JOBPLUG247 LTD ("Jobplug247", "we", "us") collects when you use our WhatsApp job-matching service and this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (the "NDPA").

1. Who we are

JOBPLUG247 LTD, a company registered in Nigeria (RC 9783969), of 14, Ajoke Osho Street, Agege, Lagos State, Nigeria. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us on WhatsApp at +234 813 339 1413.

2. Data we collect

Contact data: your WhatsApp phone number and WhatsApp profile name.
Job preferences: the role, city and pay you tell us you want, and your alert settings.
Messages: the messages you send us in the chat and our replies, including START and STOP requests.
Payment data: if you buy alerts, we record that a payment was made, its amount and date. Card or bank details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by us.
Technical data: basic information our website server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested.

Please do not send us sensitive information such as government ID numbers, bank details, passwords or health information. We do not need them to match you with jobs.

3. How and why we use your data

To provide the service (performance of a contract): to understand your request, search for matching jobs, send you results and, if you turn on alerts, message you when a match appears.
To take payments and keep records (contract and legal obligation): to process alert subscriptions and meet tax and accounting duties.
To keep the service safe and working (legitimate interests): to prevent abuse and fraud, fix errors and improve our matching.
To contact you about the service (consent or legitimate interests): for example, to tell you about changes to how the service works. We will not send you marketing for other companies.

Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place.

4. Where job listings come from

We collect job listings from job boards, company career pages, and public WhatsApp and Telegram job groups. These listings describe jobs and employers. We do not build profiles of the individual people who share jobs in groups, and we only keep what is needed to show you the job and how to apply.

5. Who we share data with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with:

WhatsApp (Meta Platforms): our messages with you travel over WhatsApp, which processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.
Service providers who host our systems, send messages, process payments or provide analytics, and only on our instructions and under confidentiality and data protection obligations.
Authorities and advisers where the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.
A successor business, if we are sold or restructured, who must honour this policy.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers, including WhatsApp, may process data outside Nigeria. Where that happens we take steps required by the NDPA to make sure your data remains protected, for example by using providers that offer adequate safeguards.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep your job preferences and chat history while you use the service. If you stop using it for 12 months, or you ask us to delete your data, we delete or anonymise it. We keep payment records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting. Server logs are kept for a short period, normally no more than 90 days.

8. Your rights

Under the NDPA you have the right to:

be informed about how we use your data and ask for a copy of it;
have inaccurate data corrected;
have your data deleted, where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it;
restrict or object to our processing, including for direct marketing;
receive your data in a portable format;
withdraw consent at any time; and
not be subject to a decision based only on automated processing that significantly affects you. Our matching only suggests jobs. It does not decide whether you get one.

To use any of these rights, message us on WhatsApp. We may need to confirm it is really you before we act, and we will reply within one month. To stop messages at once, send STOP in the chat.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including access controls and encrypted connections. No system is completely secure. If a breach puts your rights at risk, we will notify the Nigeria Data Protection Commission and, where required, you, within the time the NDPA allows.

10. Children

Jobplug247 is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the service, tell us and we will delete the data.

11. Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our server records basic logs so the site stays secure and available. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy first.

12. Complaints

Please contact us first so we can put things right. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new "last updated" date. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the chat.
