Terms and Conditions

These terms are a contract between you and JOBPLUG247 LTD (RC 9783969), of 14, Ajoke Osho Street, Agege, Lagos State, Nigeria ("Jobplug247", "we", "us"). By messaging Jobplug247 on WhatsApp or using this website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. The service

Jobplug247 finds job listings that match the role, city and pay you tell us you want, and sends them to you on WhatsApp. We collect listings from job boards, company career pages, and public job groups. You can ask for matches at any time in the chat, or turn on alerts so we message you when a new match appears.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old, have a WhatsApp account, and be able to work lawfully in the place where the job is. You must give us accurate information and use the service only for your own job search.

3. Fees

• Searching for jobs in the chat is free.
• Alerts cost ₦10,000 per month. We will tell you the price and billing period before you pay, and we will give notice before any change to it.
• Prices are in Nigerian naira and include any taxes we are required to charge, unless we say otherwise.
• You can cancel alerts at any time by messaging us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Except where the law requires it, fees already paid are not refundable. If you were charged in error or the service was not provided, contact us and we will put it right.

Never pay anyone to apply for a job. Jobplug247 does not charge employers or job seekers for individual applications, and no one at Jobplug247 will ask you for money to get you a job.

4. Job listings are not guaranteed

We do not employ you, and we are not a recruiter or an employer. Listings come from third parties. We do not check every listing, and we do not promise that a listing is accurate, still open, or genuine, or that you will be interviewed or hired. Before you apply, check the employer yourself. Be careful with any job that asks for payment, or for your bank details, ID numbers or passwords. Any contract of employment is between you and the employer only.

5. Messages and STOP

By using the service you agree that we may message you on WhatsApp about your requests and, if you turned on alerts, about new matches. Send STOP at any time to end the messages. They end the same day. Send START to begin again.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the service unlawfully, or to send spam, scams, abuse or harassment;
• post false or misleading job listings, or pretend to be another person or company;
• copy, scrape, resell or bulk-collect our listings or replies;
• try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to our systems; or
• use the service in a way that breaches WhatsApp's terms.

We may pause or end your access, without a refund of any unused period if you have broken these terms, and we will tell you why where we can.

7. Third-party services

The service runs on WhatsApp, which is provided by Meta Platforms and governed by its own terms. We are not responsible for WhatsApp's availability or conduct, or for the websites and services of employers and other third parties we link to.

8. Our intellectual property

The Jobplug247 name, logo, website and software belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your own job search. Job listings remain the property of their owners.

9. Your data

How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Availability

We work to keep the service running, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". It may be interrupted for maintenance, by problems with WhatsApp or our providers, or by events outside our control. We may change or stop parts of the service, and we will give reasonable notice of any change that affects paid alerts.

11. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights under Nigerian consumer protection law. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of a job or job opportunity, for loss of income, or for indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of the service or from a third party's listing. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

12. Ending these terms

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end the service to you as set out in section 6, or if we stop offering it. Sections that by their nature should survive, including 4, 8, 11 and 13, continue after the terms end.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any complaint informally. If we cannot, the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new "last updated" date, and tell you in the chat if the change is significant. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
